AUTUMN SYMPHONIES AT THE CITY HALL

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra's Autumn Symphonies at the City Hall will take place on Thursdays 13 April, 20 April, 4 May and 11 May. The new season begins at 19:30 (not 20:00 as in the past) and pre-concert talks will take place at 18:45. The new season, which is conducted by principal guest conductor Bernhard Gueller, features a wide array of works from the traditional master like Brahms and Elgar to Arvo Pärt. Two violin concertos (Tchaikovsky and Dvořák ), two piano concertos (Brahms and Liszt) and the mighty Symphony No. 10 by Shostakovich will ensure this is a season not to be missed.
